DESCRIPTION:Join Amal Unite & Empower in Collaboration with CMHANL for a FREE\nApplied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). \nThis is a two-day\, in-person workshop: \nThurs\, April 24th: 9 AM – 4 PM\nFri\, April 25th: 9 AM – 4 PM \nYou’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide\, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. \nYou will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it.
